Expressive Headshot Shows Your Strength

One sure sign of experienced actors and models is the range of expressions they can create easily. Most people people start with a narrow repertoire since this take time to develop. But if you have the control over your emotion, it is a great strength; and we’ve made this expression 6-up and 9-up option (6 or 9 images arranged on a page), which can be added to any premium headshot package, so that you can show off your strengths!

Why does emotional expression matter?

People remember pictures with emotional expression better than just plain flattering or borderline sexy shots. Showing a range of expressions makes you more marketable.

For actors’ audition headshots, there seem to be two different camps. One says good headshots should show emotional expression, rather than a plain, flattering face. Another says to tone down the expression and show the neutral face. We’ve heard, read and become engaged in very good arguments for both sides… But really, what’s the best approach? Use your neutral or slightly expressive face on your main headshot, and use expression 6-up or 9-up as your extra promotional material!
