Beaupix Studio moved (Summer 2011)
Beaupix Studio moved to Fort Point district of Boston. The new location is even closer to South Station, Financial District and Theatre District than our previous locations on Summer St. The new building is called Midway Studios, located at 15 Channel Center St. The new building is much bigger space, easier to park, and just plain better working environment for creative people.
The new location is just around the corner from EpiCenter at Artists for Humanities, a popular wedding and party venue. It’s also just down the street from Barbara Lynch’s Menton restaurant and DRINK bar, as well as Lucky’s Lounge.
Best of Advertising Photography Awards (April 2011)
Two photographs, Flying Dream and Urban Hair Salon, won the Best Advertising Photography award and the Judge’s Choice award, respectively, in 2011 annual image competition of CIPNE, Commercial and Industrial Photographers of New England. The jury panel consisted of Christine Tieri, President and Creative Strategist at Smith & Jones Idea Agency, Bruce Hudson, a Mastercraftsman of the Professional Photographers of America, and Len Lazure, the photo editor of Telegram & Gazette.
BLUE Exhibition (Dec 2010-Jan 2011)
Urban Hair Salon is being displayed in a gallery in Harvard Square, Cambridge, Massachusetts, as a part of Cambridge Art Association’s BLUE exhibition. The image is printed on 16×24 canvas. The opening reception was Friday, November 19th, and it was very nice to see some former clients and friends at the gallery. Exhibition goes until January 12, 2011 (Mon-Fri 9am to 6pm, Sat 9am to 1pm). Gallery is open to public. This exhibition takes place in two galleries in Harvard Square simultaneously, but this work is exhibited in University Place Gallery, which is on the first floor lobby a Kennedy School building at 124 Mount Auburn St., Cambridge, MA 02138 (Harvard Sq T stop).
